Africa's Education Reform

Africa's education system needs meaningful reform.

One important reform would be to make Pan-Africanism a mandatory subject from primary school. Every African child should learn about Africa's history, cultures, liberation movements, unity, and the vision of a prosperous and integrated continent.

Rather than giving disproportionate attention to Western history, African curriculum should place greater emphasis on African history and Pan-African thought. Students should first understand their own continent, its achievements, challenges, and the leaders who fought for its freedom and unity, while still learning about world history in a balanced way.

An education system rooted in African knowledge and identity can help build confident, informed, and responsible citizens who are prepared to contribute to the continent's future.
